After falling victim to the February floods, Gympie’s iconic Royal Hotel is searching for new owners to give it a new lease of life!

The lower level has mostly been stripped of all wall and ceiling linings and provides the new owners the opportunity to redesign the existing layout should it be continued as a licensed premises. Presently with multiple bars, dining areas, function areas and indoor/outdoor areas, the space has always been used well to accommodate all patrons. Upstairs provides 11 ensuited rooms, a managers quarters, laundry room and an office area, some of which have also been slightly affected by the flood waters and will require minor refurbishment. In previous years Gympie’s popular Royal Hotel located right in the heart of the CBD and in Mary Street itself has seen annual turnover of approx. $1.8million all coming from the variety of income streams the hotel offered by way of bars, restaurants, functions and accommodation. Set on a large corner block and offering three street frontage and ample parking, the location is excellent! The accommodation rooms had previously been tastefully renovated and all include ensuites and were arguably the best rooms in town, turning over approx. $5000 per week in revenue.

This iconic hotel has certainly been one of the most desirable hotels in the region in its time and with its previous refurbishments carried out over the past 10 years it made it the place to be! There has also been a roof replacement in July 2019.
